Just imagine the cost for a modern Shenmue game. Even back in the days it sucked up 50 mio. dollars. Sounds like a great idea for Sony to burn some more cash! I mean, it's not like they have financial troubles right now or anything, right?

I would love to see it happen, but I just don't believe it will.

Shenmue's setting is a modern one, excluding Güiling (or whatever the damned place was called). Why would it be out of place?

No, no, no...lol.  The setting would be out of place for ME.  I was at a different place in life when I played the first two: living in Japan, younger, more reckless, not a care in the world...don't know how I'd react to Shenmue 3 now, is all...
