PS4 sales seems to be doing good but Sony as a whole is going through major restructuring which is costing a whole lot of money. Why not shave of the extra $0.50 from the PS4 and let the consumer choose what kind of power cord they wish to use?

They would save 3 million USD and reduce there projected losses to 1.097 Billion.

AC power cords are so common that finding one is relatively simple, people can even use their slim/superslim PS3 power cord for their ps4.

Or they could pass off some of those savings to the consumer and have the sku cost $399.50 USD which reduces the price gap between it and the Wii U and increases the price gap between it and the Xbox One.

Especially with the cord cutting phase sweeping the mainstream world, I think it would be wholly beneficial to creating a clean living room space.

Yeah... Great idea...

Oh you.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Wouldn't that be more of a hassle more than anything else? Cause that would mean that stores such as walmart needs to train their employees to make sure the customer knows it does not have an AC adapter (I also highly doubt stores like that will do it for free) and there will always be that one customer in every store that leaves the store and realizes there is no powercord and then gets pissed and goes on a rant... I think its a terrible idea

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

I suggest just gluing two PS2's together and selling the SKU for $150, Sony won't be able to fulfill demand at a mass market price like that, saving even more money!

Better still, they should offer an console-less SKU so consumers have even more choice. Maybe some people would like their PS4 to be an Xbone or Wii U instead.

I think they should make a PS4 that comes in a plastic grocery bag. Not including the box, padding, or instructions would save them millions.

Also, they should sell the PS4 out of a van. Why give retailers a cut?

You need to give the customer what they need to run the device. Getting rid of the HDMI wire would make more sense(I found it unusable) but I'm against that too.

Go Team Venture! I still don't get the Wii, PS Move,  and Kinect.

Im guessing this is suppose to be sarcasm

But Nintendo does it with 3DS, no one would of been amazed if it hadnt of come with a HDMI cable.

Lets just be glad they dont do something this stupid, even though i like many others day 1 probably just ripped the hdmi and power cord out of PS3 and put them straight in the PS4 to get up and running faster.

Dont see why not, Nintendo did similar things and got away with it
