What.....? is that a Starbucks Coffee I see in the background? I thought American products don't do well in Japan? So that means the PlayStation will do well. Okay.

You are incorrect. Apple for example is loved in Japan.
Its all about the company. Greedy company that doesnt think about their customers andalso names their system Death box is never gonna see sucess in Japan. Imagine if the Xbox was called Death box in the US. Do you think it would do as well? Thats the kind of disdain Microsoft showed the Japanese. They responded in kind.

Err...that is really hilariously funny as Playstation 4 can be read as Playstation Death. Four is an unlucky number here because one of the ways to say four is shi, which also means death. Therefore, you can see why your statement is pretty funny.
Apple is loved here in Japan, but whenever there are viable domestic alternatives, they generally prefer those. By the time Android was a viable alternative with domestic phone brands like Toshiba, Sharp, Panasonic, and Sony, Apple already had a sizeable foothold. There are lots of other examples like Starbucks, various American fast-food chains, and Windows computers being quite popular here while American cars are pretty rare.
Japan also do not necessarily follow the rest of the world with game consoles as the Genesis/MegaDrive and N64 were never popular here while the Sega Saturn was, for example. Therefore, the reasons why the Xbox has so far failed in Japan relatively speaking is more complex than your reductive "greedy company" or the name.
