The correct sequence is either:
7.4
1+1.1+2.1+1.1+(2.1)

or

10.6
1 + 1.1 x2 +1.1 (x2)

10.6 makes the most sense, but would be hard to achieve if it were to match the release schedule too.
November + 0 = November
November + 1 = December
December + 2 = February
February + 3 = May

Sooo 10.6m by May confirmed?

Now, let's say
5.8m sold through by end Febrary using current worldwide weekly numbers
Add 1m for JP launch
=6.8 end Feb

Then, you have three months to do 3.8m, which is roughly 292k per week for 13 weeks.

Not sure they could even produce that much :D oh well that was fun regardless.

Well Sony announced 4.2 million sold through back in Dec. so really it's only the month of January that VGCHARTZ was predicting. That's around 10% off. Still super great but not spot on. Again though I'm just being anal.


10% low after making a ~5% upward adjustment for NPD just a few days ago...

If Japan starts off with a bang then we can expect the PS4 sales to reach 6.5 to 7M by the end of the fiscal year. That would just be wow.

If Japan starts off with a bang then we'll see more than that. Theres gonna be at least 1 million in march, probably more, so I think it will be over 7m if Japan launch is big (maybe 7.5m).

3 million after Japan launch is my prediction... 500k gap only in US before Titanfall launch.

I expect Japan to move 600-700k at launch... the rest of gap will be posted in the weekly basis with ~100k increase every week.

If I miss my prediction it will be by ~200k.

 

600-700k would be huge, last consoles did 300-400k. I'm not sure i PS4 can do more than 500k at japan launch(what  would already be great)

But for sure, at japan launch, the gap will be between 2,5M and 3M ( depending on VGC, if they update PS4 numbers with sony officials sold through sales or not)

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

They arent 3%. They are 28%.  But i assume VGC is assuming its shipped numbers again. When the ps4 get well supplied it will be easy to see VGC vs Shipped differences
