I wonder if they're undertracking the Xbox One for February to make up the difference? That 53k for this week seems awfully low to me given the fact that it came at a time when the Xbox One saw a big sales boost due to Titanfall beta hype.

But 53k is the week ending 8th Feb, the beta's boost should show up next week.

lol seriously, beta to boost hardware.  one that is available for everyone with a pc.

What do you expect? Titanfall and Destiny looks like they will be the next cod and btf. Besides, Microsoft is marketing the game almost like a Xbox One exclusive.

nothing from a beta.

look at te cost x1 500 gold live 60 game 60 add 30 for rechargable controler ad on unless u love buying aa batteries.  add 13 tax where im at that is 735$$$ to play tf on a x1

its not a game changer.

Some people bought PS3 more expensive to play cod, pes and fifa. Why would be any difference with titanfall on a console $100 cheaper? Hm, FPS (especially online) are the most popular genre now, and that's not going to change anytime soon.

For whatever reason VGC hasn't been using exact NPD figures, instead they've been splitting it down the middle between their set of data and NPD.

Yeah which i find bizzare you either stick with your guns or go with NPD numbers, going down the middle is just random as its not a number anyone tracked.

No it isn't.  If you have two experts, one says 9 and one says 10, then saying about 9.5 is a reasonable thing to do.

Now, in this case I think VGC is being a little arrogant since NPD has a larger sample of data so they should weigh NPD's estimate more.

My 8th gen collection

Well it's certainly over stocked

But this is one "Expert" changing there answer not somone taking an average, so they had no faith in there own answer to begin with,

As you wish, but VGC is not an authority - they just aggregate and model based on various bits of data.  NPD is just another data point, but since NPD takes a long time to aggregate their data, then the initial estimate is 100% other sources, while after NPD they have 50% NPD 50% other sources.

It's only after manufacturers make official statements that they might fully adjust.

Again though I think that with NPD covering around 65% of the market they should be given a large weight.  At the same time VGC can't just plagiarize NPD.
