Yeah which i find bizzare you either stick with your guns or go with NPD numbers, going down the middle is just random as its not a number anyone tracked.

No it isn't.  If you have two experts, one says 9 and one says 10, then saying about 9.5 is a reasonable thing to do.

Now, in this case I think VGC is being a little arrogant since NPD has a larger sample of data so they should weigh NPD's estimate more.

But this is one "Expert" changing there answer not somone taking an average, so they had no faith in there own answer to begin with,
