its great that you accepted you were being a hypocrite....if only some people could learn from you and just accept it...and stop defending themselves

I don't get it if Microsoft has the infinite power of da cloudz why the hell are't they using it?
XBone can improve their SDK (so can PS4) but that can't change the physical facts about the GPU hardware,
nor that accomodating the render pipeline to ESRAM takes specific work that PS4's GDDR just does not require.
PC games built with assumptions of GDDR video cards will simply have an easier port to PS4 for that reason,
and instead of dealing with ESRAM the same dev time can go towards leveraging the nextgen GPGPU capacity.
That said, developers may not always make the 'best' decision, in some cases maxing resolution may not
be the best choice compared to increasing FX or framerate, etc. PS4 just provides more to back up those choices.
Is this still a surprise? This should be standard by now.

Infinite Power of Denial?
Graphics don't matter because we gave up on Da Cloud delivering that?
I hope at least by the end of this gen we see alot more devs doing 1080p 60fps.

that has been clear since we got the specs of both consoles. what interests me is where will the devs give the PS4 an advantage? FrameRate? resulotion? in game effects and graphics? and it will be interesting to see if this effects sales or not. it seems devs are going for Res now, i wonder if that will change.

But remember that the decisions that you've made on the first 2 games will translate into The Witcher 3, so there's incentive in playing the 3 games on the same platform. That is, if you still have your save games, of course. |
I played all paths, so there's no decision to carry over :)
And I had to uninstall the game, not sure if I still have the save game files.
The game felt like it was made for consoles anyway, mouse support was pretty bad.
I really hope that CD project Red will remove some shaders and effect and go for a native resolution.
The upscaling really blurs the image too much. And after all this resolution frenzy it would hurt their game if it's not even 1080p on PS4 I think.
I think if we tweet them sufficiently they will be forced to ditch some useless effects/lighting and reach 1080p. I mean if they intend to do a real next gen PC game first then I hope only hardcore PC owners will buy this game, and they will sell only 500k copies worldwide on all formats.
It will teach them a lesson and they'll then release their next Witcher 4 with a native resolution on each consoles. I mean 720p is still native resolution on XB1 right? Why just PS4 owners would have to bear upscaling artifacts/vaseline? That's irrespectful.
(Half serious post, but only half, do tweet CD project Red on that native resolution subject please).
