You mean just how everyone spread FUD about Xbox not being a games machine? Sony is marketing the PS4 as a games machine and it will never been seen as a multimedia device. MS is marketing the Xbox One as an entertainment device. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

He stated the obvious.... even AnandTech said before Xbone release 32MB eSRAM is not enought to 1080p.... to use 1080p they need to sacrifice others parts because some part of the framebuffer is shared with slow DDR3.

The dev needs to manage which information will be in the fast eSRAM and which will be in the lose DDR3.

On PS4 you don't have this trouble... so you are open just to work with the hardware without sacrifices.

I think most humans are capable of telling the difference between Marketing and real life. He is a developer, he knows, and almost anyone knows Ps4 can do media. ignorance is not a defence. Consoles doing both is not a new or foreign concept. 

 

Please post where it was ever said x1 cannot do games................

I'll take a "wait and see" stance on this one. Talk is cheap. The proof will be in the pudding. You either put up or shut up. I mean shit or get off of the pot.

Meaningless statement. A 680gtx has less ROP's than a 580gtx, yet it's a third more powerful.

If this is true, resolutiongate was fun while it lasted.

It's FUD,a  new SDK doers not over come a 40-50% GPU compute advantage. He also acts like ps4 does not do media, the only diff between the two is hdmi-in port.

 

Ps4 tools will also improve as will OS overhead.

OT: This is all stuff we already knew, pretty much. Except for the new SDK...

What a meaningless response ...

Yet you forget that the GTX 680 has a higher core clock therefore the ROPS on the 680 operate at a higher clock speed. Most graphics cards that aim at a 1080p resolution usually comes with 32 ROPS and more.

Gee golly I don't know who to believe, an actual developer working on the machines, or you.

Can I see some of the games you have developed? I have played many of the games this guy's studio has worked on. Just for a frame of reference, I mean. You seem so sure you know more about this stuff than someone actually working on the consoles is all.
