Forums - Gaming - Is Titanfall the game that Starhawk was supposed to be?

I cannot be the only person who thinks that Titanfall looks like Starhawk.

Take a look at these videos.

Am i the only person who can see the similarities between these two?

They are nothing alike. Starhawk was simply a new take on warhawk and was extremely mediocre at best.

the starhawks look much cooler.
The titans look like they were made from recycled garbage trucks.

thats just based on the videos above, havent played either.

If they hadn't bothered with an absolutely terrible SP mode, which was essentially a glorified tutorial, all the more boring for those who played the beta, and actually focused on the MP, Starhawk would have been great. I really enjoyed the MP beta. But I never got into it when I bought the game because the SP was soooo disappointing.

But how is Starhawk like Titanfall, aside from the big robot you get to ride in?

Starhawk was mediocre at best, super laggy and showed why slapping on a campaign for a multiplayer based game is never good. For it to be called the "Best Multiplayer Experience on PS3" really showed how lacking the multiplayer scene was on PS3.

I really enjoyed Starhawk for what it was. Favorite MP on PS3 for sure.

I can't really say..

Maybe it's the way you call shit out of the sky.. Idk

It seems like Titanfall has the budget that Starhawk might have needed

He said "arguably" the best

And are you saying that the multiplayer was mediocre?

I spent months playing Starhawk.

The single player was a waste of time. The multi-player was sublime (and I didn't encounter any lag at all, let alone any "super lag"!)

Nope

Starhawk you call stuff from the sky to build things, not just for the Titan

Added to that, my favourite bits of StarHawk were the air combat and the large scale of the conflict in stark contrast to the small scale nature of Titanfall

Just a shame that they executed StarHawk so poorly. I know they didn't have a huge budget, but I found it really disappointing especially compared to Warhawk and even more disappointing compared to the original SP WarHawk that was cancelled
