usually by November Xbox 360 was outselling PS3 by 100,000 of thousands at a time. So all that ground gained was taken right back. Did Ps3 close the gap? Yes and most likely because of RROD, if it wasn't for that. It would have been over.

No it didnt hurt it actually, it actually led to more sales and I bet the units MS replaced were counted in their 'sales' data

Let me guess, you have x amount of friends, most got rrod and bought x amount of 360's x amount of times, right?


clearly it didnt damange their brand reputation as a few of your fellow xbox fans have pointed out that 360 sales increased significantly over the original xbox.

Anyway, if it comes to the point where you have to justify the fact that PS3 will overtake the 360 (if it hasnt already) with something like RROD, that says it all.

If RROD didn't happen, 360 would be over 100,000,000 m Easy. Just speculatin'

they have ended up on should, would and could's, but they cant accept what actually did happen like xbox got a 1 year lead and was cheaper.

The only week the PS3 was behind the X360 in global sales in 2013 was Black Friday week.
