My favorite games seem to be rpgs and action-adventure (like Okami, Shadow of the Colossus, Assassin's Creed...)
I also really enjoy third-person shooters and hack 'n' slashes. I don't like puzzles with rare exceptions (namely both Portal and I'm enjoying Scribblenauts Unlimited) and I just cannot have fun with point and click games.

Racing games is also something that I seem to have a lot of fun with. But fighting games have become less and less attractive as the years went by. I just don't care about them at all nowadays, though I still enjoy playing some of my favorites.

Since when you come round' these parts.

My taste has change over the course of my time playing. When I was 8 or 9ish, I would only play racing games because it was simple and all I had to do was hit the gas button and broke around corners.I also played the SmackDown games too. When I got a PS2, I wanted to try something else, so, I got my first Fighting game DBZ Budakai. Loved it but it was kind of basic. Then, I wanted a Adventure game, so I found Ratchet and Clank and damn that game was fun. I Played my first JRPG name Final Fantasy X-2.

I switch back and forth though, My favs are Platformers, action-adventure, Fighting, Racing(Casually) and JRPGS.
