no, jrpgs are still my favorite genre. but you really have to be carefull not to consume to much of your favorite because then you start to get bored of it. i noticed that when there were a lot of these games during ps2 era. i guess a lot of people have this problem with shooters now.

I don't hate FPS games anymore. I now prefer WRPG to JRPG

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

When I started playing on consoles, the biggest genres were platforms and beat'em'up games like Final Fight or Streets of Rage. Nowadays (good) platformers are a 'rara avis' and beat'em'ups are mostly dead.

What do I play nowadays? I've learned to enjoy almost anything: third and first Person Shooters, strategy, RPGs, racing, tycoon, etc. As long as I can have fun, any genre is welcome.

Please excuse my bad English.

As an N64 owner it was all about the 3D Platformer, since then though I main JRPGs and other Japanese games. Also the complete lack of awesome 3D Platformers sucks =(

Sad, but true

@OP:

My taste has changed a little since I branched out to different genres, but my favorite genres (platform and action-adventure) have remained pretty consistent. The biggest change has probably been RPGs. When I was a kid I didn't really "get" them, but as an adult I love them. I now have two in my top five games of all time.

Still, my heart will probably alway belong to platform games and action-adventure games

Variety....

I have turned away from FPSs a bit, though I was never really into them. I would play more RPGs (especially jRPGs) if there more, but it varies more from game to game rather than just pre-defined genres

All I can say is my most anticipated game this year is probably FF X HD, which was my favourite game over 10 years ago, so I guess I haven't changed that much
