No. Single-player games are what keep me gaming. Multiplayer games like Mario Kart and Smash Bros. are a blast, but those are more "supplementary" as far as my gaming interests are concerned. Games like Zelda, Xenoblade, Fire Emblem, 3D Mario, Pokemon, etc. are what keep me gaming. Single-player should always come first, and then in those games, if they happen to include a compelling multiplayer mode/option then that's great too, but NEVER at the expense of the single-player. Certain games like Mario Kart, Smash Bros., Call of Duty, etc., that are BUILT for their multiplayer are the only ones where I'm okay with that being the focus.

Upcoming Games To Get

Definite: Kirby Star Allies (Switch), Mario Tennis Aces (Switch), Fire Emblem (Switch), Yoshi (Switch), Pokemon (Switch), Kingdom Hearts 3 (PS4), Monster Hunter World (PS4)

Considering: Fe (Switch), Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze (Switch), The World Ends With You (Switch), Ys VIII (Switch), Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition (PS4), Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Remix (PS4), The Last Guardian (PS4), Shadow of the Colossus HD (PS4), Anthem (PS4), Shenmue 3 (PS4), WiLD (PS4)

Every game should have some form of multiplayer. Any game that does not it is a result of lazy game design.

I enjoy Singleplayer far more that Multiplayer.

Its always fun to get the same game and play with my friends and family. I dont think any Single Player game is worth $60 if I'm spending less than 24 hours in it.

You mean every little india game as well? What if it's obvious the multiplayer part is going to be a waste of time and money for the developer (for example, not enough players for it)? Open world games? Do you think that, say, Skyrim should have multiplayer? It offers a tremendous amount of content even though it has a single-player mode only, and a multiplayer mode would probably require a ton of effort (and money) even to get it running due to the game's huge world. And then the effort to make the multiplayer worthwhile... Oh, I think it would be pretty terrible.

Having some form of mutliplayer does not mean the game has to be multiplayer.

I strongly disagree. It could take resources from an epic single-player experience. And usually tacked-on multiplayer sucks.

1. Single player
2. Local multi player
3. Online multi player

This is how I feel.  Multiplayer can be fun, but it always feels more like a throwaway experience to me.  Single player is where the meat of the experience is.

Single player experiences trump multi player experiences every time. But I'm just reiterating what everyone else in this thread already said, so don't mind me. ^^;
