So next gen will be full of Call of Duty with parkour clones?

I don't think you can all anything with a jetpack legally "parkour" anymore.

Also we already had a parkour FPS last gen and it bombed spectacularly. I think they called it a game changer back then as well.

Are you talking about how you can wall jump and stuff on Unreal Tournament, or are you talking about Mirror's Edge?  Mirror's Edge isn't an FPS, and I don't think I ever heard anything about it until after its release.  I saw the demo on PSN one day, downloaded it, thought it was amazing, and then bought it the next day for $20.

I think he is talking about Brink. A FPS that uses parkour that kinda bombed ( it sold almost 2 million retail and it was released for the PS3, 360 and PC).

Its gone be a good or great game, sell well but not change gamming at all sorry.

This game needs to come out asap. I can't take this over-hyped game any longer. It is BS that people are praising this as the second coming of jesus.

Oh okay.  Never played it so wasn't aware of that.

What I mean though from the initial post is that if Titanfall becomes the next Call of Duty except it's released every other year, then there will be a lot more CoD parkour clones than just Brink.  It happened last gen with CoD.  The endless amount of CoD clones.  Now it'll just be the endless amount of Titanfall clones, which is just CoD with parkour and robots.

Get it?  Because that's how it will "change gaming."  Instead of everyone bitching about the endless amount of CoD clones released every month, we'll be bitching about the endless amount of Titanfall clones releasing every month.

Titanfall is going to appeal to the 10 mill or so online fps console fans. The only fps I know that people play for story are halo, half life and metro really. Bioshock to. But games that sell like cod etc are for its online element.

That's only because they got lazy with COD. If you said Battlefield than I would agree but COD used to have a pretty good story mode. I blame Nazi Zombies for ruining COD. It's when they first realized they could get equal or better sales for less work if they focus on making the game just a knuckle dragging reactions test.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Maybe it will and maybe it won't. I don't feel like a change-up on FPS MP is likely to really influence gaming in a general sense. By and large because TF seems to be mostly smooshing together a number of gaming elements that are already being used. The originality is in the smooshing and probably to good effect.

Question is what will REALLY change gaming this generation?

Every generation has done something to change gaming, but nothing seems to be particularly standing out this generation and all consoles have launched.

it wont

I hope not, if the future of gaming is just multiplayer I'll quit very soon

It certainly looks that way to me.
