i didnt misunderstand anything. The post he replied to specified MS/XB1 and he specified "a certain company/console" the post was very specific. You are the one being defensive by trying to defend the guy

No, but a vast majority did.  That's the real reason MS reversed the DRM, preorders were so low compared to the PS4.  If they had kept it, it's likely they wouldn't have even sold half of what they have now.

True, I'm not saying it was not a good majority or anything but pretending that THIS guy is the reason why Microsoft reversed their DRM is really absurd :)

He started the fan campaign that got Sony to take the DRM off the PS4. That gave Sony a huge lead in the preorder numbers which caused Microsoft to take the DRM off the XBO. Famousmortimer started a chain reaction that led to MS eventually removing the DRM and always online restrictions.

Well yah, maybe he did a lot of things. But I do not believe (and I may be wrong, I really do not want to argue about that honestly) that Sony retracted anything because of that specicaly but more because of what was going on on the other side (Microsoft) and how BAD the things were. Also, we do not know if Sony was really planning to have any kind of DRM (even if they talked about it), they never confirmed anything. Am I wrong?

I honestly LOVED Halo. It'll always be my favorite FPS ever. The story, universe, MP...untouchable. So it's painful to watch a billion dollar corporation like MS hire a bunch of random people, stand behind them with a figuritive whip, and churn out "product" with the Halo name on it every year like this.

Sony chose not to use it from the begining. The only evidence anyone has was a patent that they filed before the ps4 was announced which they already had one that they didnt use for the ps3 and the sony guys flat out said it isnt in the ps4

That's debatable. Sony says they never planned on using DRM, but they must have considered it. Microsoft did it to appease 3rd parties so I'm sure EA was pushing Sony hard to get the same DRM policies on the PS4.

Like you I love the Halo universe. I have all the books, the Halo Legends comics are awesome. And it does not bother me that much to have some spinoff and alternate story games coming out more often :) But I can definitly understand it may be bothering for other fans.
