The dominance of Nintendo games in this case is due to the Nintendo games up to bat being ones that are important to basically the whole fanbase, bread and butter games like Mario Kart and Smash Bros. X has the benefit of being important to both Nintendo fans and both non-aligned and even PS-aligned JRPG fans, and that pushes it ahead of the Square Enix fare that holds the middle of the pack.

I remember last year at this time when The Last of Us was untouchable, so Sony games can dominate the list, but only when it's something that unifies and fires up the Sony base. The next Uncharted will pull that off, possibly a new God of War or full-scale Gen-8 Gran Turismo

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

You did another great job Salnax

I'm looking forward to E3 or a 3DS focused Nintendo Direct. With Bravely Default gone, 3DS has little to show. My 2 3DS game votes lie just outside my top 5, but if Nintendo announced an Advance Wars.....It would be my #2.

Plus if they don't announce any new games, then I have nothing to add to my top 5. I want more info on Mass Effect Next and Fallout 4. Personally I don't think the PS4 will become worth buying until 2015 or so, so I'm probably going to just get a WiiU this fall. My 3DS has been great so far.

Uncharted? Probably. Gran Turismo? Maybe. God of War? No way in hell. As you said, it doesn't have the broad appeal that is needed to be nº 1.

Please excuse my bad English.

Actually, check the top 10 skus from the March 2013 edition.

The Last of Us PS3 Sony 96 28
Pokemon X/Y 3DS Nintendo 70 18
God of War: Ascension PS3 Sony 45 14
Killzone Mercenary Vita Sony 43 11
Grand Theft Auto 5 PS3 Take-Two 39 13
Tearaway Vita Sony 37 11
Pikmin 3 Wii U Nintendo 34 12
Soul Sacrifice Vita Sony 34 11
X Wii U Nintendo 31 12
Bioshock Infinite PS3 Take-Two 28 9

The only two skusahead of GOW: Ascension were the top 2 exclusives of 2013 for this feature.

God of War may not be Uncharted, but considering how Ascension was largely rejected yet still managed to make #3 for March 2013 (albeit narrowly), I'd say God of War 4 is entirely possible of topping the chart. ESPECIALLY since the Sony fanbase on this site is likely to get bigger this next year as the PS4 conquers.

...in other news, I am both happy that X is doing much better than a year ago and disheartened by it being the only game of these ten not to be released yet.

I admit my mistake, God of War is very popular among our members (even if its sales figures aren't that spectacular... but hey, WiiU is doing amazing here and we all know how its selling).

But can I also say that it largely depends on the competition? I mean, I don't want to be rude, but in that month 2 Vita games made it to the top 10, something that very, very rarely happens.

Early 2013 was the VIta's Golden Age in terms of anticipation.

But yes, it depends on the competition. And not just between platforms! The X, Smash Bros, and Mario Kart would not be doing as well right now if even a few more major Wii U games were announced, or even 3DS games.

Hype is a strange thing to try to measure.
