Uncharted? Probably. Gran Turismo? Maybe. God of War? No way in hell. As you said, it doesn't have the broad appeal that is needed to be nº 1.

Actually, check the top 10 skus from the March 2013 edition.

The only two skusahead of GOW: Ascension were the top 2 exclusives of 2013 for this feature.

God of War may not be Uncharted, but considering how Ascension was largely rejected yet still managed to make #3 for March 2013 (albeit narrowly), I'd say God of War 4 is entirely possible of topping the chart. ESPECIALLY since the Sony fanbase on this site is likely to get bigger this next year as the PS4 conquers.

...in other news, I am both happy that X is doing much better than a year ago and disheartened by it being the only game of these ten not to be released yet.

I admit my mistake, God of War is very popular among our members (even if its sales figures aren't that spectacular... but hey, WiiU is doing amazing here and we all know how its selling).

But can I also say that it largely depends on the competition? I mean, I don't want to be rude, but in that month 2 Vita games made it to the top 10, something that very, very rarely happens.

Early 2013 was the VIta's Golden Age in terms of anticipation.

But yes, it depends on the competition. And not just between platforms! The X, Smash Bros, and Mario Kart would not be doing as well right now if even a few more major Wii U games were announced, or even 3DS games.

Hype is a strange thing to try to measure.
