Forums - Microsoft - Torn on my first Xbone game

Id get Assassins Creed. They say its among the best in the series. 20 hours for campaign and 60 hours of exploration/side quests. The jungle/plant graphics look especially better with the new consoles.

Id say it will tide you over until Titanfall. Also Peggle 2 is quality casual fun. Can't go wrong there.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

I would go for Dead Rising 3 man.

Sacrificing graphical fidelity for zombie count never looked so good. [I meant that in a good way]

Yay!!!

I agree with Somini you should just wait for the Titanfall bundle, I mean you only need to wait another month before it drops.

TBH I don't care much about the bundle. I can buy the Titanfall pad. I don't want to miss out on the beta.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll likely go Dead Rising and maybe Ryse. I am already set on buying Peggle and maybe one more downloadable title. Might wait for PvZ later next month. I am also going to get GameFly going again and keep Forza for a few months.

You play Tomb Raider? Get Tomb Raider.

Calls of Duty - CoD started dieing after CoD4. I wouldn't get it.

Battlefield 4 - Despite what everyone says this game is a lot of fun to play. I don't get all the hate, not much trouble with bugs or anything like that (PS4 version). Conquest is a lot of fun. Better than CoD, I would say.

Ass Creed IV - Since you don't like AC games then I probably wouldn't pick this up either. This one is more of a pirate simulator game though so maybe you'll like it. You will spend a lot of time sailing your ship around sinking other ships and stuff. Massive open world, upgrading your ship, several side missions,.. just being a pirate is cool.

Ryse - Haven't played it since I went with the PS4, but I have a friend that has this game and he says the graphics are great and it has some very cool animations for when you kill the enemy.

Dead Rising 3 - Don't know much about this game.

If you like shooters, I would say just wait for TitanFall (and enjoy the Beta to get you by in meantime)

If you like action/adventure, then you can't go wrong with AC IV (much more focused on fun than the crap Abstergo whatever story the other AC games get bogged down in with the apple of eden and other such stuff).

If you like shooters and action/adventure, then probably Tomb Raider is the best game for you

If you like just mindless action (that is still fun) then Dead Rising 3

AC4 is the best game out for 1 right now, but it is better on PS4. It is the best game of 2013.  Dead Rising 3 is far and away the best 1 exclusive I have played. The fighting system in Ryse is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad. You will feel totally ripped off at 60 bucks. Trust me.  BF4 and CODG are both complete trash.  Bad Company 2 and Modern Warfare 1 are both a million times better than these newest entries.  Peggle 2 kicks ass also.  So speaking X1 exclusive get DR3, multiplat and 2013 GOTY?  Get AC4.  You will be happy with both.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I went ahead and got Dead Rising 3. With news that the Titanfall beta is not open though and not everyone will get in plus no idea when they will get in, I think I'm gonna buy Ryse as well. I also bought Peggle 2 and will get Killer Instinct tomorrow or Thursday.

DR3 starts pretty slow but damn it becomes great quickly after the opening scene. It's like State of Decay only with more emphasis on killing zombies than survival. I love all the side quests and collectibles. And it's great how there are shit tons of zombies on screen and what happens when you attack them can be so random. I have had a zombie lunge at me but I sliced his arms off with a sword so he just bumps into me and cannot grab me. Or hit a zombie and lobbed a leg off, then they stumble and fall.

I scratch my head thinking back to all the crap the game took for the frame rate and visuals. Has it been improved since launch? Because it seems fine to me. The way the game just throws so much on screen at you and the Xbone just soaks it all in, I don't think I have been this impressed with a launch title since the Dreamcast launch or maybe the first Halo.

I'm early into the game so without spoiling story stuff, is the DLC any good? Also, early in the game after the plane scene, it flashed on my screen that two people died. Anyone know whats up with that?
