If the game was really good it would sell millions of consoles but it would likely just be a huge sales blip.

One huge game isn't going to save a console, it requires a steady stream of great games for that to happen.

Nothing substantial to change things for Wii U

Just expect a tons of jibber jabber on the Internet and some serious backlash to Rockstar from their "fans"

Lego City Undercover sales already proved the Nintendo crowd not too into the Sandbox games

The rest of the core gamers wont pick any console for just 1 game or even a few games. They will have plenty of alternatives on the other consoles. One consequence would be games like Sleeping Dogs, Crackdown, and Watch Dogs will sell a ton more on the other consoles.

...

I suppose one good thing will be GTA will focus on just the single player and not waste time on an online mode.

It would shift loads of Wii U's

but....

It won't ever happen. Even wii never got a GTA and that sold 100 million. Wii U has no chance

wiiU would get a decent boost.

rockstar would go bankrupt from the massive sales contraction.

It would improve sales, but most people would just moan at Rockstar to port it until they did. Just like they try to do in vain with Bayonetta 2. Doesnt seem to stop them from trying.
