Forums - Nintendo - Commission-based game purchases starts on WiiU in 2015

Sounds good, but they need to start it sooner.

THAT IS REALLY intersting
cant wait to see what they come up with

so that means that I shouldn't purchase any game until 2015 to take the most advantage of this ? ;)

"Wii are legion, for Wii are many"

Next gen should be interesting for Nintendo. This gen will probably be 6th gen all over again.

Its an interesting idea and I was hoping they would do a similar thing but very differently (discounts based on playing games, not buying games) so I'm curious to see how this will play out ^.^

I didn't see where it says 2015. But like carlos710 said, this makes me want to hold out for a year. Here's hoping for another ambassador program.

Color me intrigued...

I got that from the part that said:
"Nintendo aims to work on this brand-new sales mechanism in the medium term, but we would like to start experimenting with Wii U at an early stage."

So 1 to 2 years down the line, definitely before the U gets too close to gen 8 end, it's already in its 2nd year.

Needs to happen ASAP. And while at it, make the digital deluxe promotion permanent, increase the different Club Nintendo rewards and make every owner of a Nintendo console aware of it, and give consumers a reason to consider purchasing the Wii U version of a multiplat.

Interesting but they should do it sooner... 2014 may as well be their last chance to sell as much as they can b4 the really big titles come to the ps4 and x1... But we will see how it all goes

Incentivizing word-of-mouth.

Clever, though it usually works better with subscription-based services (DirecTV is always telling my family how much they can save if they get a friend to sign up for DirecTV)

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
