Geez I can't believe Sony would announce Xbox info that ms hasn't released lol jk

Good for Sony still think the gap will end up being smaller in general at the end

For all acounts, this guy might be using VGChartz numbers.

Ah, and for those speaking of a 2:1 ratio, hunn, you need a few math classes.

PS4 actually outsold XB1 2:1 in this weeks numbers. i think 2:1 life time sales is pushing it way to far, but its not impossible.

PS4 outselling Xbox One 1.5-to-1 in the UK

Sony has claimed that PS4 is experiencing a significant sales advantage over its rival Xbox One in the UK.

UK boss Fergal Gara told Eurogamer that its machine is outselling Microsoft’s by a ratio of 1.5-to-1 in the UK. That means for every two Xbox Ones sold PS4 is selling three units.

Note too that Xbox One stock remains – on the whole – easier to obtain than PS4 in the UK.

The numbers are all the more impressive considering the extent of Xbox 360’s UK victory. While Europe has traditionally fallen on the side of PlayStation, Xbox 360 was the comfortable last-gen victor in the UK, despite a late and prolonged surge from PS3.

Indeed, Gera admits that with regard to Xbox 360 and PS3, Microsoft’s machine enjoyed a 1.5-to-1 sales advantage over Sony’s in the UK.

The latest global next-gen sales figures show 4.2m PS4 unit sales. Xbox One, on the other hand, has ‘shipped’ 3.9m units, with actual sales remaining unknown but estimated to be around 3m. That represents a sales ratio of 2-to-1.5.

I though PS4 would lead but Xbox One has actually done quite well

First week since launch with a close to 2:1 ratio.

We don´t know if there is a trend there.

Sales for this month are much lower than last month, and next will be lower, so for the overrall ratio to reach 2:1 it will have to start a trend for more than 2:1 for many weeks.

i thought UK was "Xbox Land"?

just to show that what happens in previous gens doesnt really effect what happens in the next one. no market is already decided for a console maker, and PS4 dominating UK is just proof of this.

That's not strictly true. The reason this happens is because the previous winner gets arrogant and puts out a product inferior (in different ways).

Which do you think would have won out of PS3 and 360 in the UK if PS3 launched at the same price and the same time as 360?

The market chooses the best option.

exactly, the market choses depending on the product released right now, not the products that were released last gen.

You're missing my point. If XB1 and PS4 launched at the same price (with the same good press admitidly) the Xbox One would be winning.

Thus last gen would have an impact if any of them played their cards right.

Ttoally disagree, there is more to it then just price....not lauchching 16 months late in UK, and building up momemntum since 2008, even the same price it would be close with maybe ps4 being a bit ahead, times change.

mm that was with supply issues, the gap is actually growing weekly..........

First 1-2 months is early adopters where price is not as important, you now will see the gap widen.

I honestly expected it to be higher. 1.5-1 isn't that impressive at all considering the price differece and the researgence of the PS brand.

All this ''xbox land'' bs needs to stop. PS1 and PS2 were HUGE in the UK. Xbox 360 beating PS3 in UK is more of an achievement than PS4 beating Xbox One.

So what is impressive to you and how do you rationalize it?  And yes "xbox land" should have never started since I first came across it last gen from Xbox users.

It was xbox users calling Us and UK Xbox land more then anyone FYI.
