Now, all we can hope is that they have an actual press conference at E3 this year. No one would want to hear that stuff in a Nintendo Direct.
release a proper Pokemon with figurines for 60$ and just print money.
but do it goddammit, i wouldve done it at laucnh if i was the President
I was hoping this would be the year they get rid of the gamepad, but nope, Nintendo will continue to support a failed concept.
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
Come on Nintendo, return from the dead and surprise everyone! Please!!!

The gamepad is good. It's not Wii remote great but it's still good. Proper use of it especially in local multiplayer would be nice. No excuse for having all the players on the TV.

The fact that the Gamepad as a concept and controller has yet to be even fully justified after 14-15 months on the market is a pretty sure sign that Nintendo have been kind of lazy though. I don't understand how they could ever expect 3rd parties to bother putting the Gamepad to full use when they're not even making a proper effort themselves.
Unfortunately, I also believe that the concept is highly flawed, for drawing in mass market consumers anyway. In fact; I believe that the Gamepad is the Wii U's biggest problem by far and that they should have continued to evolve the Wii-mote concept instead. They established a 100 million + userbase that adopted the Wii-mote and then basically tossed the thing (having it as an optional extra doesn't count towards much), this was a huge mistake in my opinion.

Agreed. The Wii really helped draw in the entire family. The Wii U is very much a solo player console because of the pad.

It works pretty well in Wii Sports Club, an the motion+ is heavily used there. There's still time to make it work, it's not a failed concept imho. |
They priced the games out of the market. Made the club into a joke. We got the games for free with the Wii. Now they want 10$ a pop? They should have thrown the club in for free for anyone who bought a launch year Wii U.

Pricing is another question. My focus was that the controller itself and the gamepad were well proven on Wii Sports Club, in terms of proof of concept. The onus is on Nintendo to follow through with more proofs of concept. Again, I don't think the pad's concept is flawed. |
Honestly I wasted my free 24 hours with the game. I only played Tennis and it was so laggy I never tried out the other 2 games so I've no clue what was so good about the pad in any of the games.
