k I know I am me and I reaaaally don't wanna be that guy now, but principle dictates me to say this.

Killzone SF isn't on the same level critically as KZ 3 and especially not KZ2 (the best of the IP by far). Yet it is selling at a faster pace, most likely due to being the sole launch exclusive worth getting.

Now this is great for the developers, no doubt about that. It is like a fresh start to expand upon as PS4 grows. But as fans of the IP....should you really be encouraging this? It is like celebrating COD sales every year, even though the meta score gets lower and lower. Ideally, we should reward quality that also sells amazing.

(if I behave like this when a X1 game scores lower yet sells higher, feel free to call me out whomever reads this).

This, coming from the guy who downplayed GT5 when it sold better than Forza 3 because Forza 3 meta'd better.....but also downplayed Uncharted 2 when it meta'd better than GoW2 because GoW2 sold better

As noble as your post is, factoring in the kind of posts you've made in the past, I know this is just a veiled attempt to undercut the success of Shadow Fall. You're just being somewhat subtle and "objective" about it

The KILLZONE series, exclusive to PlayStation® platforms, covers the conflicts between the Interplanetary Strategic Alliance (ISA) and the Helghast Empire. KILLZONE SHADOW FALL introduces a new chapter of the saga on the ISA's stronghold, Planet Vekta. Play as Lucas Kellan, an elite soldier/intelligence officer of the Vektan Government who faces various challenges to stop the terrorist group Black Hand from destroying the planet. Guerrilla Games has continued to release updates for the title after its launch in North America and Europe, such as game patches which offer better support on both single and multiplayer modes. Well that shouldn't a be suprise to anyone since its bundled with a ps4 and theres no other game to get apart from knack lol in terms of exclusives

actually it's probably both.

Shipped + DL sales.

Since those are the numbers Sony cares about/would report.

You'd think Flaming Weazel would sorta get this though since Ioi just explained this to him, like not even a week ago.

DLC is supposed to 1/4th to 1/3rd what physical sales are right?

So you figure 1.23 sellthrough

+ DL sales

= 1.64 million sold to consumers.

Leaves about 400K on the shelves.

That sounds about right if not a little short for remaining stock.

I highly doubt digital makes up for that much, especially for a game like Killzone.  I'd say digital may account for 100K or so.  But, there's no way it accounts for over half a million in sales.



Awesome numbers. It seems we've undertracked it on here. The best looking 8th gen game selling the most so far is almost poetic :D

? That conversation with ioi has zero to do with the difference between shipped versus sold but rather Aaron greenbergs vague explanation when he was specifically asked what the difference was. I am well aware of what it means. Not sure why there is so much confusion over that thread.
