I think it would be stupid for Sony to drop the price.

They need games right now. They need to profit with Vita. The price was just cut not too long ago.

I think this is just the new version that was released in Japan not too long ago.

Meaning physical size really isn't all that different. Biggest difference was the loss of the OLED screen to a lower quality LCD.
