I was hoping that was the case, but Shahid said no games announcements were planned for the event.

Im sure it wont launch straight away, probably a coinside with Final Fantasy X, Borderlands 2, Fez and Minecraft. But then again if they announce it now but dont release it till march current Vita sales will plummet to stupid low levels in february.

Sony doesn't care about the Vita, I'm sure they are only going to announce the Slim version at the same price and with no new games.

Really, it needs a price cut ($179+8gb memory card) and an agressive line-up of new software.

Shopto have a section on their website dedicated to gaming news. They post reviews too.

They clearly seem pretty clued up on gaming stuff in general so it wouldn't surprise me if they were just pre-emptively guessing at this point.

But they also tend to be right about release dates for stuff, so that kind of makes me believe they'll be right about this too.

But games  is what Vita needs right now the most! I think Sony should pay a lot of money to get Grand Theft Auto on the Vita.
