That's false, less then half have live gold........................

True, but most people willing to pay a monthly subscription for a X1 MMO may already have Live Gold.

Eitherway, Xbox Live requirements is a much smaller issue than Elder Scrolls Online being $60 and $15 a month. I anticipate poor sales on both consoles.

hell I don't even like many of the games they give out but it still more than doubles its value even if I only count the ones I really like (counting discounted greats it's probably about quadrubling the value)

I don't remember the last Elder Scrolls to sell poorly, and I don't think this will be the first one in a long while. So to everyone saying this is no big deal and the game is going to fail anyway, I shouldn't have to remind you how big ES franchise is, and those trying to make little of this subscription fee difference are such hypocrites. Many people are choosing the PS4 as their main console this generation, so you can expect many multiplats that dominated on the Xbox 360 to sell better on PS4 this time, and ES online not requiring Plus is only the cherry on top for those who don't want to be overcharged if they aren't interested in renewing or getting a PS sub for no other reason. Also, people who own BOTH consoles may not want to sub to BOTH services and this will only make it a no brainer for them to go with ES on PS4 (since it will most definitely be the superior version, as all multiplats are showing).

I don't like how they are making you have XBL Gold and have to pay for the game...but since I already pay for Gold (so that doesn't effect me, I'm just annoyed that they are doing it that way) and I want to play the game so badly, I'll deal with it.

Unless of course the game somehow turns out to be not very good, then all bets are off!

Most MMO's are like that. I used to pay $19.99 a month for one MMO and played for 5 years. Wished they had a lifetime membership... sigh. As soon as that game went Free to Play, it wasn't the same and died. As for Live. I never pay full price. They always have those $40 for a year deal going around.

In the theory yes
The reality is the game will be F2P before it's first year is over.
Otherwise yes - Its "brutal"/unfair with the addition of XboxLive when the others don't have to pay for something like that and probably get the better version too.
