Well, the only one of those games I've played is Rayman Legends, which was pretty neat. From just what I've seen of third(and first) party Wii U titles - though I still think Nintendoland appears to make the best use of the gamepad, Ubisoft has clearly been making good use of the device as well. Here's to hoping they take it even further with Watchdogs.

In terms of large games, I agree, but Nintendo has used the gamepad well for minigames in Nintendoland, Game+Wario and Wii Party U.

From what I've played, Ubisoft have made the best use. That's based on Nintendo Land, Wind Waker HD, Mario 3D World, Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, Rayman Legends and ZombiU, plus digital titles Little Inferno, Trine 2, and EDGE.

well if it's not needed in certain games then why use it? we have Nintendo Land, Wind Waker, Pikmin 3, that Wario game as well as NSMBU and they all use it differently. not all features of a controller are a must in every game.

there is that pokemon game as well so different games are using different features.

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

I'd agree with that. I haven't got a chance to play many WiiU games yet, but ZombiU used the pad a whole lot better than any other games I've tried, including Nintendo's first party. I get the feeling they're not quite sure what to do with it.

Why would Nintendo invest heavily in the pad only to barely use it at all? Rayman Legends and especially ZombiU use it to great effect. The map proved fairly useful to locate stronger enemies in ME3 large crowded maps too.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

zombie u was brilliant in its use of the tablet - i think no other game came close to it so far.
i'd like to see games removing as much HUD as possible from the big screen to the tablet to create even more immersion (menus, maps or backpack...)

I truly hope that the GamePad will be used in unique ways in Watch Dogs.

UbiSoft for me. While the miiverse is cool and all that it's not a game. Nintendoland was released to show off the gamepad and since then Nintendo has done little with it apart from party games, mini games etc.,

If Nintendo intended that the main reason for the gamepad was to play party and minigames then I've been had. I was lead to believe it would be a major feature in most games.

I am sure UbiSoft and SlightlyMad will use the gamepad well in their upcming titles WatchDogs and Project Cars.

I understand that not all type of games can utilize the gamepad to it's max or even make use of it at all. So far innovation with it has been severely lacking and hence many ask the obvious questions:"Is the gamepad worth it?" and "Why not release a Wii U without it?".

After a year I expected more from it for sure.

Although I do like the gamepad for me it has been a disappointment in proper games, except ZombiU.

I think the issue on Nintendo's side is that the genres that can make the most use of a second screen; action/adventures and rpgs haven't really hit yet.

I'm expecting the new Zelda, X and Metroid (when it comes) to each make a solid and convincing argument for the gamepad. And also whatever Miyamoto is working on.
