Not just that... even being a lazy developer creating games in 900p they still had the audacity to created a 900p bugged game... the game even in low standards (aka sub-1080p) is still unplayable patch after patch.

Dice is lazy for making a 900p game that runs at 60 fps. Yet Sony is great for making games that are 30 fps?

Don't blame Dice for Sony not putting enough tflops in the PS4. Dice wanted BF4 to achieve 60 fps and many of us are fine to with the resolution sacrifice they made to achieve it.

30fps to 60fps is much more noticeable than 900p to 1080p.

Yeah Dice messed up BF4 bad. The quality of the game is just pure shit, I actually regret buying it, I also regret trading in BF3 for it. I hope they get their shit in order, otherwise they can piss off.

Right, that's my feeling as well.

I have the X1 version of BF4 which is only 720p. Seeing that game run at 60 fps is pretty awesome. I hate when developers choose 1080p over 60 fps.

Oh yuck. As long as a frame rate is solid I prefer resolution nine times out of 10.

I'm sure their next game will run at 1080p 60fps. Whether that is Mirrors Edge, BattleFront, or Battlefield 5 and all the other great games that D.I.C.E will make.

720p is solid and so is 30 fps.

But I'd never choose 1080p over 60 fps. It would be best if developers gave people a choice in settings.

Having a 1080p/30fps or 720p/60fps option would cost a boatload since two versions would need to be optimized, but having an option to just drop the resolution and unlock the frame rate wouldn't be too difficult. I'd always chose 1080p, but yeah I'd definitely be in favor of offering that option.

I can't imagine it takes much effort to allow resolution switching that impacts the FPS. I mean developers have been doing it on the PC for many moons.

Not everyone even plays games on a 1080p screen. So sacrificing those frames for pixels is wasted on 720p screens.
