It rendes in 1080p... you can argue the black make it less demanding but the output/render is native 1080p... no upscale or anything like.
For me all games in PS4 needs to be 1080p... after that the devs optimize to 30fps, 30-60fps or 60fps (not all games needs to be 60fps because some genre you won't note that).
BF4 with these graphics can run on PS4 in 1080p@60fps... it was lazy work.
It is a shame devs choose sub-1080p resolutions this generation.

sorry man but you invest your life WAY to much into gaming. It isn't D.I.C.E at fault it is EA being total dicks pushing them to finish quicker.
Remember a few years ago in like 2008 when EA said " we going to give NFS a rest and not release it every year to keep the game fresh" well where is that rest lol

I always prefered CoD over Battlefiled but the D.I.C.E. was always for me a way better developer... just because a game is boring that's don't mean the guys didn't are good in the tech side.
But now I'm started to doubt this tech part from them.
At least you are finally playing 1080p, no clue how you could even touch your PS3 when you knew that other people play the same games (as example the CoD you like so much) in 1080p on PC. It had to be horrible for you to know that other people got the superior versions for years and you had to play the almost unplaybale below 720p version on your PS3.

I don't play PC... in fact I didn't have a PC that can play games... and I prefer the confort and easy use of the consoles.
PS360 gen was acceptable 720p... this generation no more.
Please I want the games evolutes and not stay the same lol
I think the problem is the game's engine.

So the game is 900p and is Bugged as hell......and is SONY's Fault ?.....WTF!!!
DICE didnt waste time optimizing BF4 to reach 1080p because their game is soooo demanding...OK thats FIne, But dude.....The Game is Bugged ....Really Really BUGGED!!!
