Most likely it would be spun off as an indepdent company. However, I can see samsung and possibly google being interested if it was actually put up for sale.

I would hope for either it be Google or Samsung honestly. I have no faith in Nintendo enough to handle the brand when they themselves can barely their own brand, let alone a brand with IPs Nintendo themselves openly admitted they couldn't handle

I think Samsung, but I hope it stays with Sony, im sure if Sony nears bankruptcy they will drop the TV and laptop division. But they should focus on what is making them the most money right now. and work on their marketing

Yeah I did mean something else, I suppose. I would want the PlayStation brand to remain Asian or Japanese so it can produce and be a console for Asian style games. Like J-RPG etc. If it were to become aquired by a European or American company I think that they would aim more for the western gaming market. The Japanese and Asian market is very small in comparison to Europe and North America, so if they would choose to only make FPS it would probably make them more money.

This is the best I can describe what I meant.
