Hey Guys,

The  big news today is that Microsoft bought Gears of war from Epic Games. 

My question is..knowing that there are many gears fans out there, do you think the  certainty that Future gears will be on Xbox one only [if no pc versions], will win back many hardcore gamers for microsoft?

I personally think this will potentially be a system seller for Microsoft. What are your thoughts on this? Smart move or not

It never went anywhere else in the first place. So ther is no difference to peoples view towards the series. PC is still microsoft. Why would people hate that the first game was on PC?

You can't "win back" a loyalist. Either you are, or you're a snitch. The later can't never be turned into a loyalist.

Eh. I don't think the majority of fans even knew Gears being on PS4 was possible.

As far as selling power goes I consider this no different than a new Gears game by Epic being announced. It's a system seller alright, but far from a megaton or anything that'll significantly change the fate of the console warz.

True I guess loyalist would never leave MS.  Do you think it will help MS get more gamers though?

Just keep bringing the games and the rest will take care of it self.

I think Gears will have far less impact this gen. Its latest installment did not fair well and I think franchise fatigue has set in. Is there possible future story development for the series? Will anyone care? I'm not sure if the fanbase will retain it as a must have, new IPs will be distracting them.

I am actually surprise by this comment.. You really think that a next gen Gears of war running unreal engine 4 will not have a big impact ? wow..

good move really thought it would go multi this gen but dont now how the game will turn out with Black Tusk though
