sony fucked up big time with ps3..

microsoft ripped the living heat out of the playstation brand in the U.S and made sure they sucked the blood out and left the beating heart barely beating dry..

every big PS ip is on xbox

FINAL FANTASY
DEVIL MAY CRY
METAL GEAR SOLID
CALL OF DUTY
etc etc

all were moderate to huge on the ps2.. and ps before them.. and barely existent on XBOX.. and xbox live had established a social service to users.. while psn was not that until three years into the life cycle..

ps4 is doing well, but I still have friends telling me this: "I'm getting an xbox, because I have friends, and they all had a 360 and are getting the xbox one, nobody cares about processing power, it's all about games, and right now HALO and the majority of big games are on xbox"

- that is sad, considering most of those big games are also on ps4. and better.. on a $100 cheaper box, and also considering how disgusting microsoft has been to gamers and the gaming industry as a whole.. but oh well.. you can't change ignorant people

Microsoft might have screwed up with the horrible unveiling and all but it's gaming system is still the best console for a lot of us.

None of those are PS ips. Microsoft just has brand loyality in USA, just like Sony has brand loyal everywher else.

They don't, the PlayStation brand has done far better than Xbox overall in America.

This x1000.  The PS4 beat out the Xbox One in November by 200K+.  The Xbox One beat out the the PS4 by only 40K in Dec, mostly due to stock issues, so the PS4 is still ahead by ~160K.  We need to wait til Jan, possibly Feb, NPD to determine if what the OP says is accurate.
