Nope... it's factually better to have a 29.8 average with dips to 18~24 than have average 51 with dips to 32 (which is greater than 30 by the way).
It's the same I hear in Brazil about audience for SPFC games and Corinthians... their average for this year was really close with SPFC being a little bigger during a part of the championship... Corinthians fans says that is because the stadium they use isn't much bigger than their average, while SPFC is like 3x bigger... but the same guys will make fun of SPFC for not having the stadium always full.

Lowest gameplay FPS on PS4 (33) is higher than highest FPS on XBox one (30).
I guess that, when they ran their tests, the XBox One wasn't connected to the Internet, and so it wasn't able to leverage the power of the cloud :)

Having played through both the PS4 and PC versions, I can assure you that it's pure spin. The PS4 version is, as DF said, 53-60fps most of the time and any dips are hardly noticeable at all. It's generally butter smooth with visuals that actually edge the PC game. I'd credit it as a quality job, but then, people will always find something to bitch about. |
I second this. I haven't played the PC version. But the ps4 version is butter smooth. I never notice any drops during game play. I did notice some drops during the first set of cut scenes made worst by the shaky cam feel they go for. But over all the game is fantastic.

"Bad for both" "That's pretty crappy for both" "Its interesting to see the ps4 version quite frequently drop to 40 42" Let me get this straight. Xone runs at 30fps and ps4 runs at 51fps on average. ps4 is getting hammered that has 20fps advantage? |
it IS crappy for both, both versions hae problems. the ps4 jumps like crazy and the xbone shows that the ps4 has more power.
its a bad bad port...

I dont see why. I dont claim the Xbox 1 version batter. And it is a shame we wont know the fames on an uncapped Xbox vesion. When the PS4 is fluctuating into the 30's the Xbox version didnt drop from 30. So It would have been nice to see where Xbox 1 would get to when PS4 was up arounf 50-60. Maybe 40 - 50? We unfotuantely wont know. But my guess is The Xbox version fluctuateed more so they capped it. Theres no reason why if PS4 in scenes was between 34 - 50 and Xbox same scene was solid 30 all the way through that Xbox 1 could of reached 40 - 50 when PS4 was 60. But the juddering was probably alot more noticeable on Xbox due to bigger fluctutations betwen 30 - 50. All in all the Xbox isnt miles behind PS4 in terms of power. Theres a 20 fps difference on average with 1 capped and 1 not. So who knows uncapped the difference may have been between 10 -15 fps on average. Either way capped Xbox 1 version was probably the way to go for Xbox. |
The x1 drops from 30, twice you said it it's still wrong..man you are something else. Games can fluctuate with higer FPS are run smooth, reviews show ps4 runs smooth, as did killzone, god of war. many games don't have locked framrate.
X1 drops in the low 20's even as low as 18. The Ps4 most of the time is above 50, the lowest it ever drops a few times is still better then the x1's highest frame rate.
Now you can see if the PS4 judder or not... 60fps videos.

There are some Xbone videos too but these are 30fps (obvious reason).
BTW the Xbone version makes the torch useless lol.

Whats wrong withthe lighting on the x1? The darks are washed out big time and lighting is not as good either. There is more difference then FPS from that video.
Color palatte and lighting is not looking good in Xbox one according to the above gif.
So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.
PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.
Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.
Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.
