More like a 75m-80m fad, i think atleast 20m were sold to people who bought the system primeraly for the older NIntendo franchises.

This clown should really look at his own company first. PSVs troubles are a direct consequence of Sonys own (non)actions. 90k PSV sold last December in the US compared to WiiUs 500k is obvious enough.

software tie ratios mean nothing. Considering more hardcore gamers would have 50+ games on their preferred system. HEll I seen people on these forums who have like 300 games on one system.

It's the best information we have. The PS2 having more software bought per console than almost every other system is a pretty strong indication that not a lot of people bought one solely for non-gaming purposes.
