Right now PS4 is at 4.2m, while 3DS+Wii U is at 47.8m. That's a 43.6m gap. How do you think the PS4 will manage to close that gap?

I expect the 3DS to be down starting from this year, ending up at about 80-90mil units sold lifetime. I think that the PS4 might reach 120m (not very likely, but possible). But I don't think that sales of the 3DS will be down. The Wii U has sold over 5m with almost no games and pretty bad marketing, I'd say it will reach at least 40m.

With new markets opening up like China, the wii u stagnating and probably being withdrawn from many shops this year, sony's vr helmet in the works and the Xbox one probably not going to do good business outside the usa there is a lot of potential for ps4 to sell big numbers but those numbers are still unrealistic. Lots of factors like marketing, price, which games are available, will it attract the casual crowd and many other variables. I can see it doing 100m easily but 200m is quite a stretch. Certainly not impossible though especially if consoles take off in China.
