Even Kotaku has backtracked its original headline, let this be a lesson to bad journalism and not obtaining all the correct facts before issuing an article.

Ubisoft can point to Wii U game sales figures as a means to cancel games, but it doesn't cancel out the reality which is that their games are selling poorly on every console, not just Wii U.

Splinter Cell Blacklist - The install rate on PS3/360 was .78 percent on, Wii U was 1 percent. We won't be seeing Splinter Cell on anything for a long time. The only people buying it are the hardcore fans.

Rayman Legends. - The install rate on PS3/360 is ,38 percent. On Wii U it is 4.9 percent. As Nintendo releases their AAA titles like DK and Mario Kart, this game will end up making decent sales on Wii U overall. Xbox One/PS4 sales are going to horrible. Most of the people that own the next-gen consoles, owned the last gen consoles and it was completely ignored on there, even with a decent amount of marketing,great reviews, and a demo.

ACIV - It's a million times better then AC3. ACIII sold 11.2 million on 4 platforms. ACIV has sold 7 million on 6 platforms. It's still a good seller for Ubisoft, but just goes to show you that quality really doesn't matter when it comes to sales.

Just Dance - JD4 has moved 8.44 million (6.8 of which were on Wii). JD2014 has sold 4.27 million (2.78 of which are on Wii). That is the kind of steep drop Guitar Hero saw before sales really bottomed out, and then was relegated to the graveyard.

At this point Ubisoft need's revenue and not pissing off Nintendo fan's is a good enough reason to just release Watch Dogs on Wii U. Their upcoming games are South Park on the last gen consoles, which will have trouble selling over 1 million, Watch Dogs which should be a 5 million seller overall, and The Division which could do ok, or could be ignored like recent Tom Clancy centered games.
