Never going to happen but I can play along.
If the games were near identical on the other platforms then I would not buy a wii u. The first party games are the only thing going for it so if it lost them, then id see no reason to get one.
Would you still buy a Wii U if you could get your favourite Nintendo games on another system? | |||

is not being sold at a profit then it cant be overpriced. the gamepad is integral part of the experince and the selling point off WiiU wether you like it or not. |
the thing is who determines what is overpriced? it being sold at a profit is irrelevant because most people dont know that or care. For him it is overpriced. For you it isnt simple
yes because of innovation

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

but the technology behind WiiU is being sold at the same price it costs Nintendo + retailers margin. you can go beyond that. it is now 300$ with two games, and it comes with a 6 inch screen....how in the hell is that overpriced?
maybe hes not interested in the games which i can understand, but the value for the price is very high
Honestly my main reason that I am happy with the Wii U as a "system" is that even my 5-year olds can use their Wii Motion controllers and because they have excellent games like Super Mario 3D World that are great for me (at 30+ age) and my kids at just 5 years. Even better if we all play together with me on the gigantic gamepad as the controller and the kids using their favored Wii Motion controllers held sideways.
They have shown interest in PS3 or X360 games, but their hands can't work those much larger controllers. They also can't use the Wii U Pro or Gamepad controller. They also can't use the PS-Move.
For what its worth, the Kinect doesn't pick up their motions properly either cause they are too dainty (small). So currently they can only use 3DS, Vita, or Wii-motes.
Obviously not. Thats the differentiating aspect of Nintendo consoles (alongside the control scheme or twist they add to it). Without it, theres no point to it.
I wouldnt buy a Playstation is Sony games were available in a different system. I wouldnt buy an Xbox... oh wait... i wont buy an Xbox ever again no matter what (bitter customer). But yeah without exclusives the biggest diferentiating factor of a product disappears. We would all end up on PC's if it had Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony games there. Well... the hardcores at any rate.

it is overpriced if the consumer believes that its not worth the price for what it is offering, that is all. How much it costs Ninty and retailers is irrelevant as most people dont know that info or even care.
No he and many others are simply not interested in the system. IMHO i dont even think price is a factor.
Naturally, no. What is the point of another piece of hardware without anything to distinguish it from the others?
Yes. I actually like the Wii U, what with it's second-screen-oriented controller, Miiverse, free online, lower price than the competition, etc.
