thats terrible guess devs arent used to the cloud yet

xb1 is in the same position ps3 was let see if MS can make same turn around

This has zero to do with devs or the cloud..the ps4 is quite a bit more powerfull, nothing is going to change this gen. PS3 and 360 were close with ps3 being hard to code for, and 360 had a memeory and gpu advantage. This time ps4 has every advantage.

the cloud part was a joke i know ps4 will be greater than xb1 with 1st and 3rd party SW graphicaly

xb1 is and will be in the position ps3 was sales wise, many bought the 360 soley b/c it had the superior MPs and alot of the former ps2 3rd party exclusives made there way on the MS platform.  ps3 had the bad rap b/c it was more money and 3rd party games were inferior now xb1 has this bad image along with the 180 they pulled last yr it will be intresting to see if they can make any type of headway against the ps4 sales wise

yep thats why im buying all my multiplats on PS4, only eclusives on x1 and wiiu

AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would prefer that they lock the X1 version to 30fps.

Because otherwise X1 version will 100% stutter when PS4 will stutter only when it drops below 60fps, like 5% of the time which is completly fine.

But more than that what worries me is if they'll wreck the high resolution textures with too much cheap AA like FXAA. I recently noticed that 99% of my favorite games don't have their assets blurred by a vaseline filter.

If a director doesn't have confidence in his whole game (story, gameplay, graphics) maybe he feels obligated to apply a cheap cinematic filter to artificially enchance it? Like with the flawed Remember Me?

PlayStation 4, "next-gen, definitive edition".

Sorry, someone had to do it.

That should be the title...

And here we go. The power difference between the consoles is already starting to show only two months in. The Xbox one is an underpowered and overpriced console

Xbox One 30-45 FPS and PS4 40-60 FPS: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=757184

The game is available now in some stores. People are already playing it (at least the PS4 version).

Only very positive previews, game looks obviously great, and most of the time it's apparently 60fps with some occasionnal dips when heavy action scenes.

"it was incredibly fluid and looked to stay at 60FPS for majority of the time"

EDIT: Nsanity, those numbers you have are just a guess from a Neogaf member. Nobody knows yet if X1 version dips under 30fps. X1 could be 15-45 FPS for all you know with 30FPS average. And 60fps average (meaning mostly sustained 60FPS) for PS4 is real apparently.

AMENDMENT (24/01): There appears to be a little bit of confusion of the framerates reported, and the fault is our own and our poor wording. We inaccurately used the term “average” when the math, in reality, does not add up. Logistically saying the average is ~30fps implies it exceeds and dips below 30fps, averaging at the number. That is not the case. What our sources have reported is that the listed FPS are roughly the most common targets during performance. So while the Xbox One version can reach ~45fps, for a majority of play it will sit around the ~30fps market, give a few frames. Same goes for the PlayStation 4 build, which in most cases hits around 60fps, take a few frames. Our sources have not confirmed exactly, but our own extrapolation of the information suggests you might say the average (accurate use of the term) Xbox One performance could be ~35fps, meanwhile the average PlayStation 4 performance may be ~55fps. Actual, concrete performance benchmarks will need to wait until the game is out for everyone, as we certainly don’t have them.

We apologise for any confusion from misuse of the term “average”, and hope this amendment better clarifies performance on both systems.

So we actually wont know until DF do their awesome tests.

But 10-15 fps difference between Xb1 and PS4 on their first game on average is really good news for Xbox One fans that care about Power as the most important thing. Looks as devs start to get on top of the different architecture on The One that they pull it much closer to PS4.
