I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. The battle system is pretty neat. Pretty short demo though.

Probably won't be buying it anytime soon but I will eventually.

I played it last night and was pleasantly surprised by the battle system. I thought it was going to be a letdown or a little boring because of just having Lightning in the party, but the battle system was fast, fluid and fun. I liked the customizations they presented with the roles and the little strategy with switching roles. 

The story looks like a mess though, but I never had hopes for it. I was going to pick up after a price drop, but after playing the demo, I'll probably get it on the first day.

I believe you get the samurai costume for playing it or just downloading it, and you get another costume (can't remember which, at the moment) for posting your score to twitter.

Is there a way for the tv to tell you what quality it's in? Or did you just test it with eyes? lol

Based on a few trailers and pre-views I have seen so far, this looks more like FFXIII Cosplay edition... With that being said, I am not a big fan of FFXIII at all but I will wait till the reviews to give it a try just so if the game is good, I don't spoil anything

I know that my TV tells me the resolution it's displaying the image at on the top left hand corner when I turn it on or the resolution changes. So for example, when I turn my TV and PS3 on, it says 1080p in the top left when in the PS3 menu. Then when I boot up a game it switches to the games resolution. So for example, Tales of Xillia or Tales of Graces f says 720p when I boot them up. I'm guessing his TV does the same thing. I never really care whether something is 720 or 1080, so I never paid attention to this demo's res, but I'll take his word for it.

As a person who started on the first Final Fantasy that was on the NES here in the states, I have to say, FFX was when it started to slip for me. It was still a good game, but the new style and overall themes started to turn me off. Then I played FFXI online, and after about 3 months, I cancelled my subscription and never went back. Then I begrudgingly tried FFXII, and actually found Fran so cute that I kept playing through it, though the game never really drew me in. THEN, I played FFXIII, and that was the lid on the coffin. I was so turned off by the way the story was delivered, and how far they took FFX's style that I didn't even come close to considering FFXIII-2.

And THEN I played Xenoblade Chronicles, and that drove the final nail into the coffin for FF for me. Cool story, bro? I know, but having played FF since the NES, I miss the classic style, the more mythological and "steam powered" days of lore. Xenoblade Chronicles took me back to the older FF style, and now I'm all over Monolith Soft's nuts, lol

I've played every Fai Fan game but FFXI/FFXIV (im no into mmo's), didnt like FFIII and FFV though (mainline), but lets move on. Having played Fai Fan since the supossed to be the last game of squaresoft, i can say with confidence i do really enjoy an ever-changing franchise like this one so... why people ask for the same game? well, it doesnt matter, the point is that i actually played those games, is that clear? yeap, i played those games... Everyone of them...  Didnt miss one (mmo's doesn count)...

 Back on topic, yes i know a lot of people didnt like FFXIII, yes i can even see why, so i wont dare to try to change your mind. That being said, if you want to promote Xenoblade at least try to be subtle at least, seriously that hurts. You can always make a thread about how awesome it is, i mean, i know n-fans are a little obsessed with the best of all time- title, but come on, that was forced.

Having said that, I didn't say I wanted the same thing over and over again (Are you seriously suggesting that having played up through FFX, the series did not change quite a bit along the way!?), however, the way they're going now feels too... too "emo", to put it kindly.  It's going the way of teenage hormones, emotions, and rage.  The classic style had "class", I think the new direction is going "teenager" WAYYYY too much.
