Last of Us because its a real kind of ending, not everything turn fine and they live with happy life disney style.

Bioshork ... you could smell the ending from the first meeting with the twin.

And I seen Infamous before...

Oh plz, Bioshock is anything but predictible. SPOILERS* (altho if you have'nt finished both these gamese you should'nt be on this thread in the first place) Their's no way anyone could have guessed that the girl was Booker's daughter and that the twins were scientists and that there was time traveling involved and all the other stuffs that went one (so much from this ending and it was so complicated that I can't remember everything that happened).

You want to talk predictability? Lets talke TLoU... I litteraly knew months before the game's release that Ellie was immune to the virus. I remember thinking ''hmm, let me guess, Ellie is immune and eventually they find out that she is the hope for human kind''...I was RIGHT! Knowing that Ellie was'nt Joel's daughter I remember thinking before the game launch ''I bet Joel lost a daughter and gets fond of Ellie cause she reminds him of her''... I was also RIGHT!

Those were guesses I had BEFORE playing the game, but the predictability does'nt end there. As I was playing, when you find out that you have to escort Ellie to the Fireflys it almost confirmed me that she was immune. But when it was confirmed, I remember guessing ''I bet I will escort Ellie to the Fireflys but they end up being the bad guys who want to hurt Ellie''. I did'nt know if it was because they were evil or if they had no choice but to hurt her in order to use her, but I was more or less right neverless. While playing I totaly forgot about the black chick who gave me the mission. But when Joel woke up (w/o Ellie) in the Firefly lab and I saw the black chick I thought ''Ok, Ellie is not here with Joel, I was right about the Fireflys wanting to hurt her, now I bet I'll go on a rampage and kill that black chick''...And I was AGAIN RIGHT! (but I thought my rampage was going to start with the black girl, not end with her but w/v)

I'm not kidding you, I guessed all these things. But I could'nt guess the ending, you know why? Cause I never thought my guesses would be how the game would end, I was sure their would be something more happening at the end of the game. But no. My guesses all happenened and as I was expecting something more to happen the credit rolled.

I second these shenanigan allegations.

I'd be very impressed if someone immediately guessed the Lutece twins were the same person from different universes. Comstock and Booker as well.

Around the Network

The Last of Us had better writing, it didn't depend on holding back vital information concerning the plot and still was able to keep you interested in the story. They didn't make it a mystery who Ellie was and why she was important and you could very well guess what would happen once they get there.

Bioshock Infinite took the easy route by not telling you much until they crammed all the information they held back into the last 10 minutes.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

^Exactly, Bioshock didn't tell you many important details until the end of game where they just threw everything at you at the same time, leaving me surprised and confused at the same time until I looked up the multiple timelines that were going on in the game on the internet, and even after I understood I didn't care much because I didn't care about most of the characters anyways.

Last of Us on the other hand gave me more than I could ask for in an ending, the climax was saving Ellie; I didn't expect them to go farther after that. However, I am glad they did as the final exchange between them was extremely good. A lot of people expect a hapilly ever after disney movie ending, but I don't see why they expect that when seeing the rest of the things that happened in the game. I thought the game ended perfectly and I wouldn't mind if the story is continued or not.

LITTLE MAC

Infinite's ending amused me, only because of how bad it was. Tlou was so much better.

Infinite ending was deep and though provoking and actually made me want to replay the game to pick up on the clues.

Last of Us ending was good but all too predictable. And a sad ending for Ellie. I'd have rather she got a happy ending.

Around the Network

Bioshock Infinite's twist was not as surprising as after Bioshock's big twist.

The Last of Us however left people in suspense when it was found out that Ellie would die after the operation as to Joel either accepting her choice to sacrifice herself or choose her life over a possible cure.

Booker lied down and died possibly ending his existence and Elizabeth's while Joel fought tooth and nail for Ellie.

This is the Game of Thrones

Where you either win

or you DIE

Bioshock Infinite had the better ending but TLoU had the better story before the ending.

Please explain how Bioshock Infinite's ending was pretentious.

Haven't played either game, myself, but this guy put together a pretty compelling argument explaining why Bioshock's story was poor and inconsistent.

It's not a perfect game, but a lot of this seems extremely pedantic.

He also points out a lot of the faults in The Last of Us:
