Saw Wii Fit U commercials like crazy on Hulu+ before the holidays.

Can't say I'm able to know, I'm not American after all, but I've heard from that other Wii Fit U thread that the marketing was non existant. I'm not sure if Hulu + is the right marketplace though, does a lot of soccer moms watch Game of Thrones? :D
Know where I'm coming-from.

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

Look at the post above you
Yes, they need to stop getting fucked by the competition and start playing a more active part. Time to give back and fuck the competition!

WiiU, thinking outside the Xbox
WiiU, the true Station for Play
WiiU, where the games are finished
Wii don't charge U for online play
or something like that :P
The only thing I can't understand is why Iwata still is the CEO.
Nintendo needs to take potshots at the competition. Look at how much praise Sony got during E3 when they announced the no DRM and no always online policies. Reggie and Iwata probably just stood there shocked that they could have announced those as features.
Poor little N got completely ignored that E3 because of the dick waving competition between Sony and MS. THEY SHOULD HAVE UNZIPPED THEIR PANTS AND JOINED IN ON THAT COMPETITION. Everyone's over here debating between the PS4 and XBO and who won the holidays, and Nintendo doesn't get mentioned anymore. It's time to MAKE them mention you.
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

That's why we got New Super Mario Bros. U instead if "Galaxy 3", Wind Waker HD and Hyrule Warriors instead of a new Zelda, Namco helping Sakurai develop Smash Bros. 4, Luigi's Mansion 2 on 3DS instead of Wii U, Donkey Kong Country: TF instead of a 3D Metroid, and countless release date delays. This also put games with high risk - low reward in terms of profit like Star Fox and F-Zero out of the question completely. |
I personally believe Iwata is using HD development as an excuse. But in case he's saying the truth and developers are/were having problems with HD development then it shows how badly Nintendo managed the entirety of the Wii U. If you are making a HD console you should prepare yourself beforehand, train your developers, hire new people, make developers familiar with the hardware before manufacturing it, etc etc. I'm talking from the very beginning when the Wii U started it's R&D.
I do agree with you that the 3DS struggle probably hurt the Wii U software a lot. Nintendo entered panic mode with the 3DS and move all of their resources to the 3DS and, excluding the launch lineup, ignored the Wii U almost completely. Now that the 3DS situation has stabilize, developers that were working or helping with 3DS tittles have move again to Wii U games, and I think we will start to see that this year (at least I hope so).
