Do you feel Nintendo needs to be more aggressive?

I completely agree. I always dream about suddenly having control of Nintendo and ordering a huge batch of games, whatever the cost. More people working on more games is what they need. None of this handful of studios working on one project each for five freaking years crap. Aggression is exactly what they need right now.

Old nostalgic IPs is what they need to revive and stop beating Mario to death. I understand he's their mascot but he needs a rest.

Oh and fire Iwata or at least band him from western territories.

I agree. I find them to passive. The fact that they didn't even market Wii Fit U in the states just goes to show you to what degree it has become as well.

"A phrase that represents the whole essence of Nintendo."

Its the essence of Iwata, lets not get confused here... The Company for the past 125sh years they have been in business, they have done really, really, really well... There aren't any gaming companies that have been around as long as them or hardly many companies in general... The issue atm is their latest CEO... Nintendo is great, Iwata is lolz

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

The business has been unprofitable for a few years, and if they didn't tighten their belts it could possibly be much worse.

At least as things are they aren't putting everything on the line for the Wii U. If it fails they have preserved capital to try again.  The damage is not yet too severe.

Iwata needs to wave that wand and make all games complete and then release them all at once!

do it Iwata or you need to be fired!!!

One thing I know about Nintendo is that it doesn't matter what console they release their games for. As long as it it priced at a point where people who generally buy their games are happy (say 200$CAD) and they pump out games for it, it will sell games.

The WiiU only fails by virtue of lack of games. Sure, the pricepoint is way too high due to the gamepad, but other than that it really just needs games and fast so Nintendo can make money selling them.

The games also need to be localized and advertised aggressively. At the moment I feel like they have 0 mindshare.

History of Nintendo consoles doesn't show that it's enough to just make their games.  The console needs something unique that clicks with the generation.

  • NES 61.91
  • SNES 49.10
  • N64 32.93
  • GC 21.74
  • Wii 100.95
  • Wii U 5.34

One of these numbers does not belong (and it's not the Wii U).

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine
