Wii-U needs another price drop and better 3rd party support. I mean, last year it missed GTA V, and games like Kingdom Hearts 3, FF XV, Aliens Isolation, etc. are not being developed for the console. That's a big problem for the system.

Third party support only comes from console sales. So Nintendo needs to sell the console and why would GTA release on it when its not reeleasing on any next gen console? That's more work for rockstar and their busy fixing their buggy game. Damn thing isnt even out on PC

Umm no, this is a gross over simplification. How did x1 and PS4 have large third party support befiore they sold 1 console? They made systems that make it easy for publishers/developers next gen titles to run on, and to develop for. Not too mention having robust online infrastructure. nintendo also have not dont anything to really try to foster positive third party goodwill toards them and are payign the price now.

Nintendo made a weak system way too late in the gen, when most devs are moving on too next gen engines, making putting the games on the wii-u a head ache. Then there is the gamepad.

This is nonsense. That's not why the X1and PS4 has third party support. The real reason because of the perceived belief that the market and the "core gamer" will be ther to buy the games. Based on history, you can't blame them. But it has nothing to do with power. If developers had reason to beleive that the Wii U was the place to sell the most games, there would be a ton of third party games on or headed to the system.

I know you're joking, but I really wish that would happen. I want to play Nintendo games, I just don't want to buy a Nintendo system.

You can always get one later at the end of the gen when it's dirty cheap! I'll do that with the PS4! So far it's nowhere near "buyable" status here.

That's what I been doing with all Nintendo systems since n64

just got wii by the way...

Console power is one of the most if not most important part,

imagine if you had to create a new engine just to port it the underpowered console where' theresa guarantee of possibly flopping....would cost too much and be too much of a hassle

The Wii U is not nearly as behind in power as people are trying to make it out to be. Plus many developers have already said that the Wii U is very easy to work on.

ooookayy. Nintendo did the same mistake again. but maybe they can turn around with mario kart 8 and super smash. let us wait...

PS4 is "Sh***y"?

Ok.

I'll remember that.

Yes Ps4 is a shity machine to play multiplats on. Its a console with PC architecture. Imo thats stupid. No amount of first party sony software makes it a good third party console.

Earlier in this thread you said' Wii-u has similar architecture as x1 and ps4. Now your saying ps4 is shitty because it has PC architecture?? Which is it? Your arguments are all over the place. iT'S SO SHITTY IT'S MAKING A MOCKERY OF WII-U SALES.  Real shitty decision sony.

Its the best console for multiplats period. Many games dont even get released on PC. Also has sony's epic first party.  Nintendo should learn

WiiU is PPC.  PS4 and X1 are X86. X86 is cheap old shit. (that shit is from teh 70's)

Only similarities are in how they're set up. ( As in they're mainly GPU focused.) ( Contrary to last gen hardware, where Sony was thinking about making the PS3 entirely CPU based its with its uber Cell hardware, lol)

Learn something about hardware.

PC's will eventually move on from x86 thankfully

Nobody cares about the underlying architecture either because the console has the middleware adapted to the format

The WiiU runs all these engines, and the next gen engines all tout their ability for "scalability"  Power isnt much of an issue.  Third parties just want to make easy games to sell. Graphical showcases that pander to people are easy sells

They did this with the Sega Genesis back when the SNES was about. SNES was so much stronger than the genesis that it wasnt even funny

WiiU supports, Phanta Rhei, Luminous, Unreal 4, Cryengine 3 and the new version, Unreal 3, Mt Framework, ect ect list goes on.

Well graphically speaking the WiiU is currently closer to the current gen than next gen (i'd argue it was behind the current gen in most areas other than frame rate and resolution, but that's just an opinion). If they wanted it on a Nintendo platform they likely would have put it on the WiiU along with the PS3/360, would have been a simple port. The PS4/X1/PC on the other hand would require at least some graphical enhancements, similar to COD:Ghosts (Nothing major, just a general upgrade).

No man. Project Cars. There's so much evidence people want to ignore it isnt even funny

"Well graphically speaking the WiiU is currently closer to the current gen than next gen"

I was pretty clear in what i said. Seeing as Project Cars hasn't released yet, it can hardly be included in "currently".

Well what are you measuring the graphic by? Crappy 3rd party jobs ( Need For Speed Most Wanted exists and that game looks like Need For speed rivals)

All's Nintendo's games are Cartoony and they have far better lighting. So you dont have much to go on ._.
