The nonsense uttered by enemies in Resonance of Fate.

That's nothing in comparison with this!

That's not a little thing, that's a key arc in the story. You don't know Vashyron until you've seen this scene, even with Leanne going both ways, amirite?

Maybe, but come to think about it, I never heard anything interesting from the enemies. I shall play it again, and pay attention.

Yorda getting startled when you accidentally hit the wall with your sword.
Being able to draw in the sand at the end of Journey.
Your breath showing in MGS and the guards following your foot steps in the snow.

Gotta go with a classic... the cuckoos getting revenge on you if you decide to pick on one of em in A Link To The Past and Ocarina Of Time.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Making guards sick in MGS3, I really enjoy ruining their day.

In The Last of Us, if you stand under falling water, Joel will put is hands up to cover his head.

Oh man, you say Civilization and my heart melts right away, how I love these games. Civ Rev is also great, I love the made up languages and the animations. also, Tropico 4 and the cuban songs.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Metroid Prime. There's too many to name off the top of my head but I loved the reflections in the Visor (a fully animated 3d face in the first one) and just the visor effects in general. It was so immersive.

Yakuza games - bystanders reacting to revelations or side-missions, Haruka holding your hand when you explore the city with her, and adding those little details to make the city look to its real-life counterpart is pretty damn impressive.

Also the GTA series; it's the little things and jokes that make the series special.

MGS2  is one of my favorite games due to the little details and easter eggs. Snake/Raiden stepping on every step when going up or down the stairs, ice melting over time, leaving wet footprints, etc.

Cid Highwinds pack of cigarettes under his aviator goggles.

Mine will forever be the musical hits during combat in Wind Waker. Most satisfying combat I've ever experienced. Should be an industry standard. Skyward Sword tried to do it, but the rhythmic, percussional background music during battles made them feel more like training exercises than life threatening battles to stay alive like the dooming Wind Waker background battle music.

Aw man the musical hits in Wind Waker are so good, especially with the Mini-Boss theme. Speaking of Skyward Sword, probably one of my favorite little details in any game is the scene when you are about to enter a dungeon and it plays a small tune and shows Link's expression before he walks downstairs. They really put Link's courage and determination on display.
