I guess Reggie Aims is the man to hype up the "next big game".

But didn't everyone yawn when he announced Donkey Kong? I certainly remember A LOT of people VERY disappointed with Reggie and Nintendo.

Now all of a sudden DK is the next big thing? Ok.

I didn't; I was ecstatic. A sequel to one of my favourite games of the 7th gen, and one of the finest platformers I have ever played? Yes freaking please!

I've played those. I consider Donkey Kong Country returns better than any Sonic or Rayman game, LIMBO, Rick Dangerous, and most Mario games.

But we can all look forward to DK. Reg certainly hyped it up. The way he did it made it seem that it was GOTY. GOTG. GOTD. GOTC.

Should be "fun" seeing what happens. : )

It's a "very good" platformer. Same league as Mario and Sonic (and all them legendary platformers)? Nope. Hence why NO ONE will buy DK. But, it'll be fun seeing how DK performs. You can always find the "optimistic" fan boy to blow a game's trumpet and make it seem like it's "God's chosen one".

Yep. I'm sure it'll be a very good game, but it's no Metroid. I have a Wii U and I'm not even sure if I'll buy it.

I think you mean "isn't shared by the majority of critics and gamers." And you know what? I really don't care. I don't need other people's agreement to validate my opinion. I can think for myself.

DKCR was incredibly fun for me, and I'm sure Tropical Freeze will be as well.

Let's be honest here. EVERYONE was waiting on a Zelda announcement. I don't blame them. Zelda next gen is going to be quite special.
