At the moment, Nintendo isn't performing as well as it could with the Wii U unable to fit the companies expectations. At this time many people are saying Nintendo should revive an old IP to sell units, whether or not they will or if an old IP would sell has yet to be seen, so which old IP would Nintendo most likely revive for the Wii U?

Star Fox, I think it has the most selling power of there unused IPs and is looked at as a hardcore game which was apparently their aim with Wii U.

Does the Star Fox series sell better than the Metroid series? I haven't checked. But Star Fox is definitely in need of a revival

to me Metroid is a dormant IP though, we had 2 on GCN and 2 on Wii. We evn had the DS game Metroid Prime Hunters. I pressume Retro are working on a late 2015 to early 2016 Metroid reboot similar to Prime on GCN
