Lol. Ha ha ha. Tomb Raider Fraud Edition runs at 30fps in PS4 and Xbox One.

Is it really that good?

I doubt it. To me it seems they copied Uncharted to get that cinematic feel and as a result the platforming got dumbed down to the border of moronic. Also, I heard it has a false open world and I heard the experience system is meaningless and just smoke and mirrors.

I like the sex noices though.

Nah, it's awesome.  You can probably get it for $10 now.  Check it out and then come back and tell me how much you love it.

Well, in what way? Just due to the vibe and atmosphere (and that's a perfectly legit reason to love a game) or objectively too?

30 fps :/

This is why studios need to stop spending so much money to make these games. If they cut their entire budget in half, I bet they they would have sold just as many, if not more copies (since the price of admission would be slightly cheaper).

The old AAA finance structure for games like this is too old to survive.

It was a fantastic game. I'm surprised it took that long to become profitable.

Production cost for those games is just way to high, game was good but to reach a 100m budget it feels like there was lots of wasted ressources.

$100 million?! :O :O

That's nearly as large as GTA TV's budget.

Story's good (keep in mind it IS still a video game so certain criteria must be met), jump puzzles are clever, false sense of exploration, good combat, nice to look at. cool gadgets

The nice chunk of change they got from MS to put it in the recent holiday bundle probably helped a lot.

The blockbuster model is not sustainable for gaming.

It is but when you squander your development funds you pretty much fuck over your chances of profitability.

Uncharted 1 and 2 both cost 20 million each. Uncharted 3 cost, I think, 40 million.

Sure they all use the same engine, but every console Uncharted combined is less to develop for than Tomb Raider. They all look better, they all play better, etc. I mean Uncharted 3 is set piece after set piece in a ton of different highly detailed areas and yeah, only 40 million. It just blows my mind how Tomb Raider could cost as much as it does in comparison to the entire Uncharted series. Who knows, both PS Vita games with console games combined might also have cost less.
