I'd still say that driving flat out and spamming boost in GX you reach velocities that require a level of reflexes that F Zero X never demands of its players.

That might very well be the case, but reflexes shouldn't be the only thing that is demanded from the player in a racing game.

I agree, but what specifically are these other things that should be demanded, in your view?

Star Fox first and then F-Zero.

They could both pass 1 Million if the games are good enough. Star Fox would sell better IMO. People would choose Mario Kart over F-Zero but still.

I say go for it

I would love a new F-Zero, with a track/car editor, online play....online death races O_O

I agree! Star Fox has more selling power than F-Zero.

"Return to it's former glory" implies that there have been bad F-Zero games. There just hasn't been one since GX on GC. All the F-Zero games have been really good, even if GX was too damn hard.

And yes, I think a well made F-Zero could sell well on Wii U. The franchise has always had solid sales.

Now Star Fox? THAT you can talk about "return to former glory", because there hasn't been a good one since 64 (and Adventures doesn't count, that wasn't a Star Fox game).

And it was atrocious.

A new F-Zero would make me buy a Wii U for sure.

Skillful driving, of course. The basics of approaching a turn from the outside and cutting to the inside at the right moment to get in the fastest way through it. Not be anywhere and just use your reflexes. Screw modern Ridge Racer.

Again, agreed, I just fail to see how F Zero GX is in any way lacking in this department. It controls tightly and allows you to do just what you've described.

The balance, track design, power ups, speed etc were just perfect. Pure fun. Wasted many hours on multiplayer F-Zero X (along with Goldeneye and Tekken 2) in my youth...

I think Nintendo isn't making another F-Zero on home consoles, because so many people insist that GX was great, thus sending the message to Nintendo that GX was perfect and that there's simply not a big enough audience to make a sequel worthwhile.

Wake up, people. GX was truly disappointing. I spit on the game and so should you. Middle finger to Amusement Vision.

ah there's the problem
