kitler53 said: this whole "full experience" argument is such bullshit. no one can provide a fucking definition for what a "full experience" is for a video game. is anyone complaining that the LotR trilogy was 3 movies? i mean, i had to buy 3 movie tickets to view the whole story. maybe i should have protested until they released a 9+hour "full experience" because otherwise i'm just being nickle and dimed right?!? hell, metal gear has a continuous story. maybe i should hold out for the metal gear 1,2,3,ect "full experience" that also gives me access to all future content in the metal gear franchise... fuck guys, there a product being offered for a price. if you think the product is worth the price buy it, if not then don't buy it. ...but you aren't entitled to shit. |
Basically my point to Jaywood when bringing up Halo, but put across in a more direct way, Thanks Kitler.

no problem. when i read things like..
While DLC is actually a really good idea if implemented right there has been some pretty shady tactics over the years which includes Day 1 DLC. So as long as youre understanding me on this, to get the full game with many games today, you have to pay the ful $60 price and then on top of that pay for day 1 DLC making it anywhere from $70 to $100. This is kind of ridiculous since all this could have just been included in the first place.
...i just hate that sense of entitlement. without the prospect of DLC that content could have never existed at all as developers have to make choices about what they can/can't create to develop a game on-time and on-budget.
when ps4 launched and the ps4 camera or second controller wasn't in the box but rather availible as a seperatly purchasable accessory (day 1) no one questions it. people inheritly understand that more product equates to more cost and therefore more price. so why the fuck that concept is completely disregarded for digital products is just beyond me. 5,000 people could have worked for 15,000 man-years to create more and more and more but if the result costs any more than $60 those evil, greedy developers are trying to screw everyone!?! ./rolls eyes
