I actually just changed my avatar for the first time in about three years (since I joined the site) about ten minutes ago. So far, both pics have come from two of my favorite anime series of all time, a tradition I'll likely continue in the future, but we'll see.
As for the username, it's one a friend picked for me way back when I was around ten and had first started playing Neopets (anyone remember that place?). I really liked the name, so ever since then, it's become my go-to username for any websites I create an account on.

Novasonic is an awesome ass Korean metal band from the late 90's to early 2000's. The label still uses the name for a cheesy pop rock band, but the genre, members, and everything is different. My picture is just a silly picture I stole from the internet when I made my account.

It is my #1 anime and I watched a lot of anime over the years and I rarely change my Avatar but I will change my sig the first day of every month cause thats my new years resolution

My username is not mine actually, it's a yes and no thing. I didn't came up with it, a friend said it was a good username to sign at the MMORPG we where going to play. Ever since then I'v used Anfebious for everything on the internet.

As for my avatar? I was using a Jill one because I really like her in the Resident Evil games. I choose this one (Gemini Sunrise) because I find her cute. I never tried her game but I will do once I get back from my vacations.
